Movie & Craft Night December 4th

An invitation went home and we have received many responses for our annual Movie & Craft Night on Friday, December 4th, from 5:45-8:45pm. This night is our gift to you – drop off your children at the pavilion at 5:45pm, and we will provide dinner, crafts and games, and conclude the night with a movie. You have this time to shop, wrap gifts, bake, decorate or maybe just find some quiet time for yourself during this busy season. All we ask is that if you have not yet returned your RSVP to the school office, please do so before Thanksgiving break so we have enough food and crafts for the children. Thank you!

Charger Tree Trim

We as a school community will be participating in the First Annual Village of River Grove Tree Lighting, and we would love for YOU to join us Sunday, November 29, from 4-6pm at the River Grove Gazebo (contact the front office should you need directions). There will be coffee, hot chocolate and cookies served by the village. In keeping with this year’s theme, St. Cyprian Students Choose To Shine, we ask that each family create a shining star ornament for the tree trim, even if you are not able to attend that evening. You can use any materials you wish to create your star. Please bring all ornaments to Mrs. Ewig in the front office by Tuesday November 24, along with the tag that was sent home yesterday labeling the ornament with your family’s name. Ornaments will be brought to the event, and each family will be able to hang their ornament if they are in attendance. We are looking forward to a wonderful Christmas season, and hope to see many of you out at our first Charger Tree Trim!

Use Manna for the holidays!

The holidays are a great time to try out the Manna program! Buy gift cards through Manna to cover all your holiday shopping – we have something for EVERYONE on your list!

Using Manna SAVES YOU MONEY! You pay face value for gift cards from TONS of local and national retailers, and St. Cyprian receives a percentage back for each gift card purchased. We split this profit with you – half goes to the school, and half is credited to your tuition!

To order, complete and return the form available in the front office, with cash or check, to the school office. Orders are due every Monday between now and Christmas by 9am and will be sent home with your child on Tuesdays. Call 708-453-6300 with any questions.

Virtus Training at St. Cyprian

Interested in volunteering at St. Cyprian as a coach, field trip chaperone, or classroom helper? We would love to have your assistance! The first step is to become Virtus trained – this is a requirement for all volunteers working with children in the Archdiocese. St. Cyprian is hosting a Virtus training on Thursday, December 3rd, at 6:30pm. Sign up here!

Catholic Identity Survey

As a school, and as part of the Archdiocese, we are always looking to improve to make sure we continue to provide your children with an excellent Catholic education. This year, the Archdiocese is focusing its improvement efforts on our schools’ Catholic identity – this is, after all, the reason many of you choose to send your children to St. Cyprian.

All schools are surveying faculty, parents, and students on this topic. Your feedback will help the Archdiocese and St. Cyprian direct its improvement efforts to the areas they are needed most. Please complete the survey to share your feedback with us. All survey responses are anonymous. Surveys must be completed by Monday, November 30th. Thank you in advance!
